Most Kevlacat Catamaran Owners Switched From Other Sportfishing
Boats...... Why?
"As you know I have recently purchased a center
console 20' Kevlacat. This boat has been a pleasure
to own, and it has met all of my expectations. The best
part of the fishing season has started in South Florida,
and the boat has been out comfortably in six foot seas.
No other boat on the market, at this time, provided
an adequate solution until I came across your product.
Trailerable (size, weight, quick load & quick unload),
able to reliably be used 20 miles offshore, able to
cary six fishermen, and most importantly durable are
only a few of its features."
" I would never buy a _____ cat or _____ cat for
that matter. One thing these cat guys don't realize
is that you can't join two hulls to a central deck at
perfectly right angles.... that's the weakest connection
possible. What you will find is a continuous stress
crack that runs the length of the boat. A fishing friend
of mine bought a _____ cat last year and the thing already
has stress cracks along the hulls and on the transom.
If I was in the market for a cat, the only one I would
look at seriously is Kevlacat... these things are laid
up in Kevlar and are rock solid. Otherwise, I certainly
wouldn't want to be running offshore in a boat with
questionable strength."
"When we came back into the inlet and opened
her up, the 50+ mph closed the deal.
I presently own two Kevlacats, a 2400 and a 2800. The
2400 is a great trailer boat and will get you there
in comfort. I keep my 2800 on Amelia Island, FL and
day fish the St. Augustine ledge, a 75-mile run.
This boat has extended my fishing career at least another
25 years."
" Like most first time boat buyers, I bought a
pretty 26 foot "offshore vee boat". It had
all the right toys on it, outriggers, duel moters, and
a 150-gallon gas tank. I soon found out that fishing
60+ miles offshore was pushing it on fuel and we could
not go unless it was flat calm and we still took a beating.
I had heard a lot about catamarans and I began a two
and a half year research project on cats. I scoured
the world and found that Kevlacat had a proven record
of performance and over 17 years of success in the business.
I rode on an Australian Boat in Charleston in 1994 and
my decision was made.
Kevlacat America custom built my boat and powered it
with 225 Yamaha motors.
This is my last boat and it has a great ride, economy,
speed, and is easy to maintain. When I fish, I want
to get there and back quick, and still enough energy
to take the wife to dinner after a day on the water.
The Kevlacat does it all for me!" |
